St. Francis Anglican Church
| Prelude | Organ solo, bell rings |
| Processional Hymn (1st two verses) |
The happy birds Te Deum sing, Tis Mary's month of May; Her smile turns winter into spring, and darkness into day; And there's a fragrance in the air, The bells their music make, And O the world is bright and fair, And all for Mary's sake. Where'er we seek the holy Child, At every sacred spot, We meet the Mother undefiled; Who shun her seek him not; At cloistered Nazareth we see, At haunted Bethleham, The throne of Jesus, Mary's knee, Her smile, his diadem. |
| The procession pauses at a Statue of St. Mary for the Crowning of the Image | Blessed art thou, O Lord, God of heaven and earth, for in
thy mercy and righteousness thou didst cast down the mighty and exalt the
lowly. Thy marvelous wisdom is shown above all in the Word made flesh and
in his Virgin Mother. For thy Son, who freely humbled himself even unto death
on the cross, now sits in eternal glory at thy right hand and the Virgin, who
desired only to be called thine handmaid, was chosen to be the Mother of the
Redeemer and the New Eve, the true Mother of all living things. Now she, the Queen of Mercy, exalted above the angelic choirs and reigning in glory with her Son, prays and pleads grace for us all. The Crown is placed on the Image and it is censed and sprinkled with Holy Water. |
| The procession continues to the Altar. | Merciful Lord, look upon thy servants, who crown
this image of the Mother of thy Son, proclaiming him as King of all creation and
approaching her as our queen. Grant us grace to follow Jesus and Mary in serving thee; to do what love demands for the sake of our brethren; to deny ourselves and spend ourselves so as to win our neighbors for thee; to be lowly on earch so as to be exalted in heaven, where thou dost reward thy faithful servants with the crown of life; through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen. |

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom then shall I fear? Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. |
| The Kyrie eleison, in ninefold form with women and men alternating, except on the last sentence. | Lord, have mercy upon us. Christ, have mercy upon us. Lord, have mercy upon us. |

Almighty God, Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, maker of all things, judge of all men; we acknowledge and bewail our manifold sins and wickedness, which we, from time to time, most grievously have committed, by thought, word, and deed, against thy divine Majesty, provoking most justly thy wrath and indignation against us. |

| The Last Gospel John 1:1-14 |
The Lord be with you. And with thy spirit. The beginning of the Holy Gospel, according to St. John Glory be to thee, O Lord. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men and the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness to the light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness to that light. That was the true light which lighteth every man who cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came into his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them he gave great power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed in his name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, not of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory; glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. |
