St. Francis Parish Publications

Dick Sandlin is the Parish Communications Officer

St. Francis publishes a number of documents on a regular basis. Currently, only three of these are available online. See the list below for more information.

  1. The Parish Bulletin. This is a service leaflet published each Sunday that is available at the door for use in the Mass. It contains a guide to the activities in the service, including the text of the lessons read or chanted, Hymn numbers, the Psalm, and the special prayers for the day, as well as anniversaries and announcements for the week.

  2. The Parish Magazine. This is a monthly journal that contains a message from the Rector, articles from parishioners about topics of interest, stories about what has happened recently and coming events in the life of the Parish, as well as a monthly calendar of saints' days. Click on the title of this paragraph to view a summary of issues online.

  3. The Parish Directory. This is a list of members and friends of the Parish, along with their addresses and contact information that is published annually. To avoid contributing to the tide of junk mail, distribution of this booklet is limited to the persons named therein.

  4. The Parish Website. You have already discovered this "publication", unless you are reading a printed copy of this page. The website is published continuously with little bits being added all the time. You may send email to the webmaster by clicking on his title, but please be sure to mention "St. Francis Web Site" in the Subject line, so that the spam filters will not eat your message.

  5. An Informal, Anecdotal History of Saint Francis' Parish as Told by Past and Present Members. This is a booklet compiled by Courtney Sands a few years ago that gives a rich and absolutely accurate rendition of how various folks remember certain aspects of the Parish. You can view an online version (currently under construction) by clicking on the title of this paragraph.
